We are seeking a CNC Machinist with at least 3 years’ experience to work in our CNC Machining shop.
Must have a working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Cam Software.
Successful candidate’s duties will include:
Reviewing process sheets for jobs scheduled through the department.
Set-up, operate, and monitoring of machines.
Interact with shop supervisor to select and research tools for trials.
Generate purchase requisitions for shop supplies as needed.
Provide training of skills to perform a task in the allotted time on the process sheet.
Train Setup-People, and assign work to the operators, as directed by the head supervisor, including internal operations (deburring, marking, packaging, etc.).
Periodically perform spot inspections.
Review process sheets when job is complete, markup the process sheet, so that it reflects the method of manufacture and the proper cycle times, as approved by engineering, submit process sheet to head supervisor for review.
Keep program files current and orderly, so they can easily be retrieved and sent to the machines as required.
Work toward productivity improvement on all jobs.
Work with the head supervisor and production control, to make recommendations regarding best work centers, and best sequencing of jobs, to optimize workflow throughout the department
Create new programs, and edit existing programs as needed, notifying head supervisor and engineers in the process.
Compensation: $18.00 to $22.00/hour, plus benefits.
